Horizon: Forbidden West is one of the most anticipated PlayStation games of the year, and it's coming sooner than most would expect. PlayStation has announced that Forbidden West has gone gold, meaning the game is practically ready to go.
What does "going gold" mean?
When a game has "Gone Gold", it means the game is ready to be downloaded from internet retailers, or that the game is polished enough to be made into physical copies. The creation of Physical copies when it comes to an unreleased game means that the game is finished, and we can expect a launch date. The release date of Forbidden West is February 18th, 2022 and because the game has went Gold we can expect no delays.
The launch of Horizon: Zero Dawn, the first game in the franchise, sold 2.6 million copies in the first two weeks, and it got a 9/10 rating by IMDb. With how well the first game did we can expect even more sales in the first two weeks this time around.
