After Microsoft's industry changing acquisition on Tuesday, many questions were left unanswered regarding to all of the titles that come along with Activision Blizzard. The biggest concern coming from PlayStation players and their potential future in the space. Although we don’t know for sure where you’ll be able to play the next Call of Duty if the acquisition goes through, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer suggests the series does have a future on Sony platforms.

What does this mean for the future of Call of Duty?

As of right now, it looks like Call of Duty will stay multi-platform, at least until Sony's contract ends, leaving the door open for Microsoft to make it an exclusive in the future.

Earlier this week, a Sony spokesman told the WSJ that "We expect that Microsoft will abide by contractual agreements and continue to ensure Activision games are multiplatform." With that said, a lot of worry will be put to rest as Activision and Sony have had a long-standing content exclusivity agreement with the Call of Duty franchise, dating all the way back to 2015.
